The following data will be used :

x	0	2	4	6	8
y	-14	-10	-6	0	3

Press the STAT key and your screen will appear as below:

Next select EDIT by pressing ENTER. The data editor should appear

If you do not see or , or if there is some data already in the lists, then you may need to reset the data editor or clear the lists. Go to Clearing Lists/Resetting The Data Editor to see how this is done.

Enter the x data in the list and the y data in the list. To enter the x data, move the cursor directly below . . Start entering the data given above by keying in the number and then pressing ENTER. Notice that the cursor moves down after the ENTER key is pressed.

 

Once all of the x data are entered, move the cursor directly below and repeat using the y data.
