
Once the scatterplot of the data values has been obtained, the next step is to find the regression equation.

Press STAT, then press the RIGHT ARROW to select CALC, then select 5, then ENTER. The screens on your calculator should show

coefficient r to appear press 2nd,
then 0 [CATALOG]. Use the arrow keys, to arrow
down to DiagnosticOn. Then press ENTER to select and then ENTER
again to turn on the correlation coefficient.
