In order for a VIEWING RECTANGLE to be meaningful,
a graph must already be displayed on the screen. If you do not know
how to enter and graph a function, go to Graphing a Function.
For example, the function
=
is graphed below
in a standard VIEWING RECTANGLE,
[-10,10,1] by [-10,10,1].

To manually change the VIEWING RECTANGLE, press the WINDOW key. Below are the current standard window, a new window of [-2,6,1] by [-3,5,1], and the resulting graph.
