In order to see the effects of a ZOOM option,
a graph must already be displayed on the screen. To learn how to
enter and graph a function, go to Graphing
a Function . For example, the function

The ZOOM 8:ZInteger option allows the user to select a new VIEWING RECTANGLE that has a selected center, is squared, and Xscl and Yscl are set to 10. The function performs a Zoom Out to this new squared window. To use the ZInteger operation, press the ZOOM key, then press 8, and the screens below will appear.

Next, locate what is to be the center of the new VIEWING RECTANGLE by moving the cursor to that location with the ARROW keys. Below, a point close to (1.06,0.968) has been chosen as the center. Press ENTER to view the results. The resulting VIEWING RECTANGLE is [-46,48,10] X [-30,32,10].
